aspx files don't run by doubleclick.

    Use http://localhost/whatever.aspx
    Or http://localhost/directory/whatever.aspx

You must install IE 5.5 to execute ASPX pages.

    Try this
copy the shortcut of the aspx file (right click the link and select "copy
    shortcut")

Paste it ito the browser and hit enter. This works for me.

If this works then download and reinstall ie 5.5. This problem should go
    away.

Do post and let me know if it works

Thanks for the help. For all the other dummies here the solution of my problem.

I started the IIS Admin Service new and then I re-installed the duwanish7-example.
And it's true you can't start an .aspx-File by doubleClick. I opened the
"Internet Services Manager" and browsed it from here.

Hi Anton, You can't run ASPX files by double clicking on them just as you
can't run ASP files. These files have to be explicitly loaded using the browser
so that the ASP.NET engine parses them and sends only HTML output to the
browser. The ASPX files should be in a IIS virtual folder/subfolder and you
can then run them by giving the appropriate URL in the browser, which could
    be something like

    http://localhost/myaspnetpage.aspx

Go to your Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types tab and then add the .aspx
file extension to the list & specify IE to recognize it....
