Did you check the relation in the Data Environment to ensure that the one to
Many property is set to .T.?

ONGOING ...I have made an interesting discovery ... That is, the FORM mechanism
will only recognize child records that are entered / originated via the FORM
Window .. !! The previous existing Child records were entered via a VFP
6.0 standalone app... Not via the FORM process... Yet the BROWSE window will
show them and accept updates ... as will the previous application. The Child
dbf has been reindexed... Comments will be appreciated .... Thx Norm

    Re: Parent/Child Form and Reports

Personally, I really prefer to show children in a situation like this using
a parameterized view instead of setting the grid properties. I've only had
mixed success getting the grid properties to work properly.

You need to make sure you set these properties in the grid:

LinkMaster = the name of the parent table
ChildOrder = the name of the tag used in the relation to the parent
RelationalExpr = the expression used to relate the child to the parent

It will only show up as a property on a relation, if you have a relation set in
your data environment. i.e., there should be a black line connecting your two
tables, and if you click on the black line (the relation) you'll see that
property. I'm assuming of course, that you or the wizard set a relation. Good
    luck!

THX for your response .... I did find the property on the Relation String
but the "ONE-TO-MANY" set to .T. didn't change the fact that the FORM wasn't
displaying ANY of the 200 records in the table/dbf. BUT when I deleted the
Child Table (Relation String went with it) and immediately Added the Child
back...... IT WORKED FINE ... NOW this is strange, but whatever works is
the philosophy .... So on my apps 40 Forms/Tables I'm using this procedure
and again.... It WORKS... Thx for your audience ... Norm

    Norm,

Check out the grid's data options - items of interest are ChildOrder, LinkMaster,
RecordSource and RelationalExpr - also make sure RecordSourceType is set
to 1-Alias. Older version vfp data is probably not the problem.

    Good luck,
    mh.
