can't call generic class members in mfc app when run from anywhere apart from visual environment

    Hi
I am a beginner in windows programming. I created an mfc application and
added my own derived class. It compiled okay and run ok in the visual c++
environment. When I ran it by clicking the mfc application icon in windows
explorer or by a short cut, the functions in the derived class do not function
    as expected.
Can some one help me with this please

Just a guess, Are you compling debug or release.

If it messes up only in release the you probaly have some unititialized variables.
