    game programming, DirectX

    Hi guys!
I have been programming a little in Turbo C, game programming. You know,
doublebuffers, screenbuffers, sprites etc. Now I want to use Direct X and
VC++, to make games. I don't wanna start with a huge project, just small,
simple games from the beginning. I was thinking of making a Win32 Console
project, If you can use DirectX within that. So can someone give me a little
    push in right direction please.

    Thanks
    /J Lindroos

get the book by sams on directx from the "high performance" series. Its still
valid (due to com specs) but for older version.
