Im trying to bind data to a repeater control. Its a press room type of application
where each headline, and story will be displayed on the page. Here's what
I have in the html:

<code>
<asp:Repeater id="storiesRepeater" runat="server">
<HeaderTemplate>
<table>
</HeaderTemplate>
<ItemTemplate>
<tr>
<td><%#storiesRepeater.Items("strTimeStamp").ToString%><br></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><hr noshade></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><%#storiesRepeater.Items("strHeadline").ToString%><br></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><%#storiesRepeater.Items("strStoryText").ToString%></td>
</tr>
</ItemTemplate>
<FooterTemplate>
</table>
</FooterTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>
</code>

This is what I have in my code-behind:
<code>

Dim dbConn As String = ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings("dbConn")
Dim sqlConn As New SqlConnection(dbConn)
Dim bolError As Boolean = False

Try
sqlConn.Open()
Catch connError As Exception
bolError = True
lblDBError.Visible = True
End Try

If bolError = False Then

Dim cmdGetStories As New SqlCommand("getStories", sqlConn)

With cmdGetStories
.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure
End With

Dim drGetStories As SqlDataReader = cmdGetStories.ExecuteReader()

storiesRepeater.DataSource = drGetStories
storiesRepeater.DataBind()

Dim strTimeStamp = drGetStories(CStr("time_stamp"))
Dim strHeadline = drGetStories(CStr("story_title"))
Dim strStoryText = drGetStories(CStr("story_text"))

drGetStories.Close()
sqlConn.Close()
</code>

When I build and browse I get this error:

Input string was not in a correct format.
<code>
<tr>
<td><%#storiesRepeater.Items("strTimeStamp").ToString%><br></td>
</tr>
</code>

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks -E
