    How to set up Virtula Application


    Hi All,
    I want to set up an virtual application on ISS server. Where do I keep the
    actual ASP, Images and other files? Do I need to keep them uder InetPub directory
    or I can keep anywere in c drive. I need urgent help

    Mike,

    I am not sure if it's called virtual, but you can put your actual ASP and
    other pages in other directory. A lot of people will do this for security
    reason, when the webserver is hacked (as we all know how IIS works), since
    the file is located somewhere else, the actual ASP pages won't be touched.
    All you need to do is point the local home directory to where your ASP is
    located. Hope this help.
