How many C++ users are there in the world?
Hay, people!
Can you tell me, how many C++ users are there in the world?
I know that there are about 3 000 000 of Visual Basic
users and about 1 000 000 Delphi users. I would like
to know what about C++.

Interesting, and how did you come about these figures?

Re: How many C++ users are there in the world?
this is a very interesting question yet I'm afraid no one can really
answer it. How do you count a user? does a student count as a user?
would you include C programmers in the count? would programmers using
C++ as their secondary programming language count? do you count how many
compiler licenses have been issued for commercial products? Does a
programmer who got laid off a month or two ago still counts? In short,
the most reasonable answer would be that there are millions of C++
programmers worldwide. I would say that it's more or less 3000 000
worldwide but this is a very prudent estimate. It's likely that the real
number is higher.
