    Learning Visual Basic

A good book is always a good place to start. I taught myself
Visual Basic 5 a few years ago by starting with the book
"Teach Visual Basic 5 in 21 Days PROFESSIONAL REFERENCE EDITION" by Nathon Gurewich and Ori Gurewich. The publisher is SAMS Premier. I did write in a non windows programming
language before I taught myself VB. I do not know what your
background is in programming. I also had a friend who
had programmed in VB 4 so he was a big help to me. Someone
who can point you in the correct direction when you are having problems is always good. Good luck in your learning.

    A site

I think you can learn VB step by step by seeing "www.vbexplorer.com".
this site is really wonderful and has many examples about different issues in programming with VB.6

    Good luck

I want to throw my two cents here (please, nothing personal here! I do not intend to offend anyone!)

There is a very bad understanding on what means 'learning computer programming' and 'learning Visual Basic'. They are two completely different things. The fact that someone can 'use' VB to so some basic stuff (enter a name in a text box, add that name to a database, display the results) does NOT qualify as 'programming'. Worse, learning VB as a first programming language is a very bad mistake. I interviewed tens of people with 'ten years of VB programming' and that did not have a clue on how to write a for loop (or even what a for loop is).

Please free to send your remarks on this subject.

    Marco
