Backup and Restore Access 2003 Database

Access restores are pretty simple, just do a DOS copy of the mdb file(s) to another location on the hard drive, then back up those files to whatever (the copied files should never have the issue of being active files and NOT getting to the tape or other BU media)...

There are issues to this-if the mdb is active then there is a good chance that any records being modified will not get copied.* If you do frequent BU's and don't depend on the data in any critical way, this should not be too big an issue.* But it can happen...
