how do I get the object's type/class?
How can I get an object's type/class? Here is what I am working on:
generally i have a tree, and the nodes of the tree can be of several classes, and also can be of primitive types. i am using DefaultMutableTreeNode to store all the nodes.
The problem is when I select a node on the tree, I can use the getLastPathComponent() to get the node, but only as a generic object. How can I determine what type of object it is so that I can handle different types of nodes accordingly?
Please help. thanks!
