Role-based Security Access 2007 w/ SQL Server 2008 Backend
I want to implement Role-based Security for the project I just started. It's an Access 2007 front-end with a SQL Server 2008 backend.
I want to basically determine a user's role and based off of that dynamically populate a menu that would make the forms/reports they are authorized to use available. I know how to do this in ASP.NET 2.0+; but, I'm not quite sure how to implement this in Access with SQL Server as the backend. I would appreciate any suggestions or guidance on how to go about this task. Thanks in advance. |

You can see my code block at the following link: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...d-11863e71b5b2 which does the role-based security you're asking about. Please note that forum is related to a different problem I am having with Access 2007 and SQL 2008 combined but I've been using that logic for roles for many years now. Let me know if you need more help! Sincerely, Maurice Maglalang
