Ticker Tape 1.0 does not run on newer browsers

RE: Ticker Tape 1.0, copyright 2000 by Goodwin Software (free software available on The Java Boutique)

The scrolling ticker tape does not load when you are trying to view it on a newer system with a new browser. Older computers running older browsers do not have any problems displaying the ticker tape. Has anyone else noticed this problem or have an explanation or have a way to fix this?

To see an example of what I am talking about, I have the ticker tape on the index page of this website: www.palestineRCS.org. I can not view the ticker tape on my new Microsoft Windows XP Media Centre Edition, Version 2002. However, I know that the ticker tape is still working on older systems/browsers.

Thanks,

Vanessa

But it's ok in Opera...

When I right-click on the "X" on the location of the ticker tape, I get the error message:

APPLET tag missing CODE parameter.
java.lang.NullPointerException: name

What does this mean?
