function exec.c code

Hi:

Mi name is Dario, and i'm from Chile.
The problem is the next: Me and some friends must to make an O.S. kernel,
shell and library. We have to develope a function that can execute a program,
as the exec function's family, all in c language. You can help us with any
example of how to create this function, or, for default, a web site where
this information can be found.
This function must be created from scratch, and anything lib or include
can't be ocupated. Is available to use Assembly.
We wait for your answers as fast as you can.
Thank you.
Bye.
