Advice & Guidence needed

Hi all.

I have a slight problem and I have no idea how to sort it.

I have on the back office SQL Server 2005 Express edition database and I can access it with our network software (front of store) BUT when our network goes down we loose the complete front end system.

so I decided to use SQL Server Compact edition for the front end as it does not need a lot of CPU for data.

BUT my questions are

1. HOW do I make the SQL Server Compact edition keep up to date with changes on the Back office?

2. How do I send any changes from the Local database to the network database WITH Out overriding the other terminals.

The system has been written in VB6.

I was thinking about having a update box in the Software so each time it booted it would pull the information down to the local server but This may take some time.

any ideas guys.
