can you please be more specific? It could be anything from a faulty modem, an incorrect header, lack of permissions, wrong code-set etc. etc.

Hi Danny,

I just wana to Know which permissions are required to set for sending SMS through Modem bcoz i don't think the modem is faulty because in our coding part we designed module for reading SMS through Modem.

I think Danny their is some permissions are required to set for sending SMS through Modem bcoz as per my thinking currently modem is working in One way (i. onle read access is performing) so can u please tell me what is the permissions required for making Modem working as Two way.

Thankx and Regards

Vicky

OK, so it's a privileges problem. I'm not sure I can tell you exactly how you can change privilegese because there are several ways to do it, depending on the hardware, IDE, modem and application's privileges. If it's done inside the modem, the best way to find the answer is browse the manufacturer's Web site and look for documentation on that specific model. If it's enabled from the software that you're writing, there must be certain API calls that do that, but your application itself may have to have certain privileges to do that.

Make sure the sim card is not locked with pin number else you need to unlock with AT commands in order to send out sms from the modem.

Sms

Dear Friends,

If someone facing problem in sending the SMS , then he should consult the service provider for Assistance, because sometime it happens that you have send the SMS from your Handset and even the balance from your Mobile credits. But the receiver did not get the SMS. In this case the sender should immediately contact the Service Provider and ask them to refresh the data packet of there sim.As they do so your SMS will received by your receiver.

Thanks

Stevel john
