Controls.<etc> or Licences.<etc> ?

Wow....

There's something dodgy going on with my VB installation.

When I'm coding in a form and I type

Licences.

or

Controls.

The little wizard thingy (what dya call that?) doesn't come up with the list
of properties/methods to choose from. With Licences, I can get around it by
typing

VB.Licences.

after which it does come up with the list. But with Controls, nothing works.
Worse even, when I type:

Me.Controls.

It beeps at me ominously, as if to say "you're doing something illegal here
boy".

What's up? How can I get this back to normal?
