    IIS 4.0 .. stops..by.. itself

I have an ASP application that interfaces with a SQL 7 database on the same
box. I've had to make some modifications to the app to drastically reduce
the number of calls it makes to SQL (performance reasons).

Now I've got it under scrutiny of my stresser and after about an hour of
a constant load... the Web/FTP services under IIS... stop.

No explanation, no errors, they just.. stop. I can click Start in the IIS
console and it will start back up.

Why would it spontaneously stop itself?

I'm guessing nobody has any ideas what might cause this to happen?

None whatsoever. Have you checked the MS knowledge base?
