    Image Edit Box

I have the contents of a scanned picture in an image edit box.
Could you tell me how i can save this picture as a bmp file, i would then
like to be able to reload the picture into either a picture or image box
in vb6. How would i go about this please.

    I have tried the following:-

ImgEdit1.SaveAs (filename),3(which is filetype and corresponds to bmp),
    , , , True(which is the zoom factor)

this does not seem to save the picture as a bmp file but as a "file"

    Help would be gratefully appreciated

    Thanks

Tony: Just a shot in the dark here (I've never used the imgedit control),
but did you save the file with a ".bmp" extension? If not, try that.

    Phil,
If i save the file as you've suggested it saves it as a "BMP,RLE Adobe
photo deluxe business edition" (Yes thats the name of the file type, All
of that), and then when i try to load this into a picture or image box it
    says "Invalid Picture"

    Thanks anyway

any more help gratefully received :-)

We haven't done much work with the IMGEDIT.OCX control and I hesitate to say
bad things about other tools, but apparently the Kodak imgedit.ocx creates
..BMP that can not be read by Win95 nor apparently by a standard picturebox.
( See Microsoft Article ID: Q216205).

If this turns out to be your problem, if you can't find a solution and you
are open to the use of another 3rd party product, our MetaDraw control may
meet your needs. I'd be happy to send you additional information if you
    are interested.

PS - if you find that there is a workaround or fix to the ImgEdit.OCX
problem refered to in the Microsoft Artical, I'd be interested to hear it.
