    Stream object

Hi, I want to know about Stream object in ADO but
I can't find any documentation about it, even in ADO
    help file.
In some programs, I see something like this :
    Dim st as ADODB.Stream
followed by stream properties and/or methods.

My questions, what is stream? When should I use it?
Where can I find the documentation?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
