    Entry level c++ programming

    I am a new computer science student and I'm wondering what the responsibilities
    of a entry level programmer are? What types of tasks are they generally appointed?

    Please post a response here or email it to me.
    Thank you

    Chris:

    My "entry level" job was working at a company that sold a shrink-wrap software
    product. The first month or so was spent learning my way around the existing
    programs. After that, I was given some minor tasks to do (mostly bug fixes)
    under the mentorship of a more experienced developer. During this time,
    I learned about their development process (using bug tracking and source
    control tools). After I proved that I could accomplish these minor tasks,
    I was given new features to design and implement.

    In general, it was a lot like school, except it was bigger and more organized.
