Angry Calling ASP from Flash Movie

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, my project works great but there is one big problem. Its a shooter game that has a database that holds the top 10 scores. It works great but there is a problem when you write to the database the ASP write script pops up a window. I put javascript to close the window right when it opens but the problem is the fact that it pops up that window. I ran my project on a computer that has a popup blocker and it didnt write to the database because it wasnt allowed that popup window. How do i fix this? here is a link to my project . After the game is over it will popup and close a window fast, if your popups are allowed, if not it will not write to the database! here is my website thanks for the help!!! Is there a way around the popup window?

Don't use a popup window! You can use Response.Redirect to send the user to a new page without a popup.

i dont want that popup to occur regardless. using response.redirect is just sending the newly opened asp page to another, that is not going to work considering im never leaving the flash movie. so you can play multiple times without reloading. there has to be a way to write to the database without needing another window to open regardless.

OK, I guess I don't understand the problem. If you don't want to popup an ASP window, then why are you doing it? :-) As far as I know, Flash should be able to update a database directly, without requiring ASP. See http://www.google.com/search?q=flash+update+database for more information.
