importing a text file into excel component in vb6

merry christmas once again to everyone

i understand the principals of connecting to an excel spreadsheet by using the properties of an Ado control , but how would i go about importing a text file into an excel component control on my vb6 form (using office web components control)

please any help would and always is greatly appreciated

Which Office Web Components control(s) are you using?

Can we assume the text file you are referring to is column delimited (by a comma for example)?

i am using office wep components 11.0

and unfortunately not the text files i want to import intoexcel will be delimeted after import

Yes, but which of the web components are you using? Spreadsheet? DataSourceControl?

Do the text files have any kind of format? Can you provide an example of how you want to display it in a web component?

I have TEXT file that originally was an Excel CVS file with 7 columns and an unknown number of rows, less than 600, but now is a TEXT file, unfortunately.

I want to move it to Excel.
