listview and scroll event in c#

i got problem with listview component,
i want to show in listview a lot of scaled pictures, it takes time so i wanted to add items without pictures and make only pics for those which can be see curently in listview but i dont know how to check which are curently show and during what event it should be done.

Can somebody give me some tip?
