How stable is RC?

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I hadn't seen it.

Now that RC is released (given to PDC and on MSDN Subscriber downloads),
exactly how stable is it in relation to beta releases? Is this another one
that should be installed on a partition that can be formatted or is this
basically good and can be installed on production machines?

RC means "We think it is ready, but we want to make sure.".

Never install non-Production code on a production machine.
