    Using VB to open an Excel workbook

    I have a project where I have to open an Excel workbook. I know most of the workbooks file name but not all of it. Is there a way that I can use a wild card for part of the file name. I know the part of the name that will distringrish it from all the other files so I'm ok there.

    You can use VB's Dir function with a wildcard to find the exact file name, then pass the exact file name to Excel to open the workbook.
