    DBF Table & Excel

Hi I'm new to programming so bear with me.

I need to create an excel report based on the following.

I have 2 tables in DBF format
Table 1 Contains information regarding US States
    Like
    State_ID, StateName, StateRegionNum, StateRegionName.

Second table contains answers to different questions in a survey.
one column is State_id number which I would like to match with State_Id in the first table, in order to obtain the number of people that belong to each state that answered the survey.

Right now I'm using foxpro to read the tables and format the excel file.
Can someone give me a guide of how I would do this in Java?

    Thanks

So if I use this, I can fetch the data from the tables and store them into arrays?

The methods allow you to create a ODBC connection or format and transmit SQL queries and results which will provide your program with the data you want to store in arrays or other structures.

Follow the trails of the Java Tutorial which you access from this main page:
