Ajax-generated javascript calls

Hi all,

Is it possible to ajax-generate a list of links that call javascript functions?

I have a page that is designed to allow a user to search through a list of users by entering in partial information into a form. Using AJAX, underneath the form, a list of users is provided that match the current information typed into the form. Next to each username in the list is a link that calls a javascript function to perform other tasks using that username.

In Firefox, this is no problem. In IE, however, clicking the link next to the username does nothing at all.

I can provide code, if requested, but I wondered if there was any particular reason why this shouldn't be possible?

i am having similar problem where AJAX javascript is not responding in IE.
