    XMLHttpRequests outside of a website

I'd normally use firebug or something to track XMLHttpRequests when I have Ajax implemented on a website. But I'm currently working on a Firefox extension which is making a request, and I have no way of telling whether or not it is making the request properly or not. (and view the resulting XML if all is well). The requests currently show nothing in firebug.

Try using an IP packet analyzer. I've been using PacketMon from AnalogX. http://www.analogx.com/CONTENTS/down...twork/pmon.htm
