Okay, I need to learn the Prototype framework for javascript, and so I started off with their tutorials (starting with AJAX). So far, all I did was a very simple test page for updating a field with the current time. I can only get it to display the code from the .asp page.
it's up on areaaccess.com/newsite/testAjax.htm & time.asp (same directory).
Here's the code anyways:
testAjax.htm:
Code:
<html>
<body>

<script type="text/javascript" src="prototype-1.6.0.2.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
function ajaxFunction()
{
	new Ajax.Updater('time', '/newsite/time.asp', { method: 'get'});
}
</script>

<form name="myForm">
Name: <input type="text" onFocus="ajaxFunction();" name="username">
Time: <div id="time">Random content here...</div>
</form>

</body>
</html>
time.asp:
Code:
<%
response.expires=-1
response.write(time)
%>
Any reason why this won't work? I mainly used the tutorial on the w3schools site and modified it for the prototype framework (it didn't work before the modification either).

Thanks,
Jeff
