WinXP SP3
I wasn't sure if this should go in the Lounge or here... Is anyone familiar with WinXP SP3? Windows SP installs scare me. If anyone has feedback and experience with this, any gotchas or more reasons to wait a while...other than the typical best practice of letting MS patches get patched, I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

I'm not a LAN/WAN administrator, but I've applied SP3 to all of my home desktops and two laptops and didn't have any issues.
Are you experiencing a problem?

No problem. Just typical Microsoft fears. I usually let their SP releases sit and stew in the masses before I install them. It's been 4 months so I'm just checking around. I've got a clean, smooth running development laptop and don't need any hassles since I don't have a way to backup the entire drive at this moment.
Thanks,

Me too....I'm usually at least one SP behind the times. If my company rolls out a SP and I see nothing going up in flames, then I do my home computers.

Then I would not apply the service pack. My philosophy regarding these is pretty simple....if I can't undo it then I don't do it.
