PDW quits without errors
I am trying to build the setup package for my VB6 application with custom DLLs and OCXs using PDW on WINXP. The PDW quits almost at the beginning without any errors. I did search but could not find any resolution on such cases. I had another application with the similar architecture and PDW works fine.
Appreciate your time and hep in advance!

PDW is too old tool (1998!!!) that Microsoft has no longer updated, therefore the PDW isn't able to achieve good installation for all scenarios, because isn't updated, and not customizable.
I.e., you cannot be able to install files to OS version based, choose from current user or all users, use external setup, and so on...
There is a lot of tools more efficient.
- Windows Installer (see Microsoft web site)
- InnoSetup (free) - www.innosetup.com
- Cyber Installer Studio - www.silvercybertech-labs.com/

Microsoft replaced PWD with Microsoft Visual Studio Installer. It's a free download which you can get from here:
Microsoft Visual Studio Installer 1.1

Does everything get installed?

Yes, I did not have problem with other applications. I used VBinstaller and it has the same problem with this application. but i liked innosetup. Thanks for advise!

Then it sounds like it is a problem with the app, not the installer (although I do agree with gibra and Ron).
You said you "liked innosetup" - does that mean you downloaded and used it for this application, and it was successful?
