Asynchronous/Synchronous and LINQ/XML

Hello Guys,

Let me start by apologizing for the last thread i posted. It wont happen again. I would like to make know if anyone can give me sources that explain the details of the difference between asynchronous and synchronous programming generally and how it affects Delegates and threads especially.

Secondly, i need introductory tutorials that explain LINQ and how it relates to XML issues and Silverlight.
