i desire to make a physical GMAIL notifier using Arduino Dieceimilla/Duemilanove,USB cable,Arduino platform(version 0012 and above recommended) and ofcourse with my pc.

i have a suitable output device and operating system to work on but have a problem in writting a codelet that monitors new emails and sends them to arduino via usb cable(serial port) ,secondly, writting arduino software that either by interupt or polling detects new email and activates the output device.
