Recieving error after downloading IE7

I have an app that I created in vb6 a few years ago. I have been
running it without any trouble since I created it. I just downloaded
IE7 and since then I have been recieving the error "Open File - Security Warning. The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?". Is there anything I can do to get rid of that error when I
try to open the executable?

Does this happen with ALL executables, or just one executable?

But first off, I am having a problem wrapping my head around why you would be trying to run a VB exe from within IE in the first place.

Hack,

I am not running the app through IE7. The reason that I mentioned
that I loaded IE7 is because that is the only change to my pc since
I last ran the app.

I did check with our is&t department and they suggested I enter the
apps path as a trusted site.

IE7 -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab -> Trusted sites -> Sites ->

After trying to enter the executable path as a trusted site and failing,
after entering this thread, I tried again and got it to work.

This problem is solved as far as I am concerned.
