I have a VBA application which works very well within the windows environment, but I have run into a roadblock under OSX within Excel 2011 VBA. I am looking for a method or some ideas on how to obtain files from the internet that is not ActiveX based. I have Googled and Binged most of the day and all examples are all Windows based and ActiveX. The URL points to two types of files one text and the other Excel, I can handle these file types once downloaded, but I cannot find a way to automatically download these files via a URL using VBA or VB6. My environment is Mac OSX version 10.6.5.
