When the following code is used :-

Code:
    Dim wd As Word.Document
    If gWrdApp Is Nothing Then
        Set gWrdApp = CreateObject("Word.Application")
    End If

    Set wd = gWrdApp.Documents.Open(lblDocFolder.Caption & "\" & lvDocs.SelectedItem.SubItems(1))

    sProperties = "Author   : " & wd.BuiltInDocumentProperties(wdPropertyAuthor) & vbCrLf & _
                    "Comments : " & wd.BuiltInDocumentProperties(wdPropertyComments) & vbCrLf & _
                    "KeyWords : " & wd.BuiltInDocumentProperties(wdPropertyKeywords)
    MsgBox "DOCUMENT PROPERTIES" & vbCrLf2 & sProperties, vbOKOnly + vbInformation, lvDocs.SelectedItem.SubItems(1) & " properties"
    wd.Close
    Set wd = Nothing
The Date Modified of the file is altered to 'now'. Is there any other way of finding the info for a document w/o this happening?

Thanks in advance

Greg
