WordML: Set heading number explicitly

MS Word allows automatically numbered headings, such as, 1.1, 1.2.1, 1.2.2, etc.

Using WordML, is it possible to force the heading sequence to any numbering I want?

I'd like to specify, for example, 1.3.2, then 2.4.1.1, then 2.4.1.2, then 3.5.1.

It would be great if this explicit numbering was also used by the Table of Contents.

Any ideas?
