    Systems Analyst 3

    PURPOSE: To conduct research on Information Technology (IT) requirements and identified problems. Develop technical specifications and propose solutions. Coordinate problem solving processes and ensure that ORAU and client standards and requirements are met. Design solutions for the betterment of productivity and efficiency. Provides support to multi-user operating systems and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems. Modify systems when changes are made.


    Understand clients' operations and systems requirements and translate into technical specifications.

    Define potential solutions and test them for both technical applicability and system compatibility (i.e., Proof of Concept).

    Design, develop and test appropriate computer solutions to meet client needs.

    Evaluate system specifications developed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with ORAU and client standards and requirements, as needed.

    Develop project management plans to ensure system completion within budget, time, and scope.

    Supervise proper implementation of a new system.

    Troubleshoot and resolve software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration.

    Other duties as assigned, such as serve in other capacities, process improvement initiatives, and other miscellaneous works assignments.

    REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 5 years of job-related experience. Minimum of 4 years prior Information Technology or related experience required. Must have 3-4 years analysis experience with websites and/or web-based solutions. Must have 2 years solid experience using Microsoft .NET or Adobe Creative Suite (CS) technology. Application development experience, particularly for websites and web-enabled applications, required. Must understand the software development life cycle, and be familiar with an information engineering approach to development. Must be able to work in a team environment and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, & SQL. Must be familiar with a host of computer programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms. Mobile device, including Smartphone knowledge and/or development is a plus. Project management experience required. Experience with government practices desired, but not required.
