Windows Service to Open Database
I have an application running on a Win 7 network with 5 users. Simple windows shared folder. Recently my application data access has slowed down a lot. My understanding is the best way around this is to use Windows Service to open the database.
I have never programmed a Windows service. I designed the software using VB.Net 2013.
Data file on Computer 1. Computers 1 to 5 open and access data from the shared folder on computer 1.
Any help or ideas how I can do this. I guess my application will have to communicate with the Win service on Computer 1.
Or is there another way to do this. By the way its ACCESS Database.
Thanks in advance
Sunil
