Google and Mobile
What views does anyone have on Google excluding non-mobile responsive websites from its index from 2018?
-
Google has stated specifically that the change should not affect search rankings in any major way.
-
How can you say it will effect nothing when they clearly state "our algorithms will eventually primarily use the mobile version of a site’s content". So if a mobile version of a site is cut down ie. less content it will tell Google less about the website, which will surely result in lower rankings?

I didn't say it. Google did.

Google is a great platform that is quite responsive during all the extensions that we wants to promote. All the changes is specifically defined by google.Google did so.

We had an email from Google last week via webmaster tools saying they are now indexing our website using the Mobile first indexing system. it will be interesting to see if it has any effect on rankings

I think it is a good decision to deindexing non-mobile responsive websites because these days users prefer mobile the more instead of their laptop and desktop. So, If the website is not responsive it will put a bad impression on them. Google is very smart and knows how to give a great experience to its users.
