Curious about program size
I have a VB6 program that sizes via MZ-Tools at:
File File Type Code Lines Comment Lines Total Lines Procedures Controls
APCmonitor Project 15,913 (85%) 2,606 (14%) 18,519 436 1,509
No problems. Works fine. It's just that I am the one and only developer & I got to wondering how it compares to others. I've been coding since the mid 70's. First in machine code then assembly. Then Fortran, Basic, COBOL, Algol, APL, C, Pascal & Ada. I must admit I find the whole process challenging at times but fun. The development of some programs seem never ending. I guess that means they aren't obsolete yet. Although I really enjoyed assembly, my favorite language is the one I'm most productive in and that is currently VB6.
