    benchmarking performance

I'm not quite sure which group is appropriate...

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a tool for benchmarking
performance of a web site (using ASP, if that makes a difference)?

    Thanks-

Microsoft has a free program that you can download from their website. I believe
it is called the Microsoft Web Application Stress tool or WAS for short.
Sorry, I don't have a URL for you. Try a search using the phrase "Web Application
    Stress tool".

This forum seems to be a little dead lately.

Thanks for the response. For those that are interested, through my own
research I've come up with 4 tools that are supposedly good..

    Free Tools
    OpenSTA - http://www.opensta.org
    WAST - http://webtool.rte.microsoft.com

    Tools that ain't free
    Segue SilkPerformer -

    Web Performance - http://www.webperfcenter.com
