MTS COMponets
Is it possible to access MTS COMpontes in a NT server from a NT Workstation
that uses a Novell Client (Without any MS Clients) over a Novell 5 network?
Any tips/References please.

Re: MTS COMponets
when you login to your nt workstation, to which domain are you logging in?
-- please note the following points
for any client machine to access mts components on a nt server the following
is needed
a) nt workstations should be added to the domain in which your mts server
is a member server (when you install nt worstation o/s on a machine it will
ask you to which domain you want to add this machine)
b) the user who is accessing mts should have an account in the domain where
your mts server resides
c) client for microsoft networks must be installed for win95/98 machines
i ran into a similar problem like yours - a novell client alone cannot access
mts servers -- set up both novell and ms client and synchronize the logins
in both networks - so the users don't have to login twice ..
hope this helps

Re: MTS COMponets
I think the poster wants to know if he can use IPX/SPX transport. And the answer
is yes. Make sure that that protocol has been installed on the NT Server. Run
dcomcnfg and check the "Default Protocols" tab. You need Connection-oriented SPX.
