URGENT.. URGENT... PLEASE HELP US
Norton anti-virus for corporate edition is just installed on E2K Entp
server. NAV recommended to not to scan Exchsrvr folder, but I scanned. One
of the virus found on c:\program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata\e00.log, and the
file is quarantined and moved, and therefore my "First Storage Group",
(Mailbox store, Public folder store) is down. Trying to "Mount Store" gives
error "An internal processing error occured. Error c1041724". From NAV, I
tried to moveback this file (e00.log) to its original location, and from ESM
I tried to mount the storage group. But no success. All Exchange services
are perfectly running. ESM starts and able to navigate into servers,
protocols etc., But all storage groups are down. This is my production
server. 10 days back I took backup of ONLY "First Storgae Group". Will I be
able to retrieve atleast from this backup?

Re: URGENT.. URGENT... PLEASE HELP US
I'm sorry to hear of this. It appears to me that your best plan of attack
is to:
1. Call Microsoft Support. Pay the $200 or whatever it is. If this is your
production system then it will be worth it, right?
2. If #1 above fails, and you haven't tried already, restore the 10 day old
backup.
I wish you well.

Re: URGENT.. URGENT... PLEASE HELP US
Before you call Microsoft support :-), try with "hard recovery" using eseutil
/cc. make sure you have enough disk space.
ESM can start because it's reading the server info from Active Directory,
even without database(s) being mounted.
BTW, error 515 is invalid log sequence.
