Out of date Tomcat Installation
The brand new article Installing Tomcat on Windows http://www.devx.com/devxpress/gurl.a...X4577208X35908
is badly out of date. In fact the latest tomcat is 4.0.1 and installation
on windows is stunningly simple. Download the windows version doble click
the exe follow the prompts and the app is installed.
Even better it will run as a service should you desire it to or you can run
it from the command line.
4.0.1 has so many improvments over the 3.x.x Tomcat that there is every reason
to use it.

Re: Out of date Tomcat Installation
Mark:
Jakarta Tomcat 4.0.1 was not released until after the article was published.
While I don't doubt that Tomcat 4.0.1 has a better Windows installation and
more features, that doesn't make the article "badly out of date."
