button borders (imp)

I created a GUI on windows using Jbuilder and the buttons look normal on the
sceen, but when I compile and run the same aplication on Unix..the horizontal
borcers for the buttons are missing. I used JToggle buttons also but had
the same problem. on the GUI, it has coupound border, if I change it also
it doesnt get the horizonal borders ( I mean the side ones)..pls help me
if anyone knows about the solution.

Use swing. When u use AWT , the buttons are coming from the OS.
