configuration mgt tools in linux
Responses so far to the question posted below on this website:
I've been told that linuxconf (for redhat), drakconf, webin, are software
configuration management tools in linux, how can I find out more about them,
does anyone know more examples of these,
Also can anyone tell me what this means " unix file respository and version
control system and AFAIK.
Question:
I' have been assigned a project entitled "software configuration management
tools in unix." i have no problems getting information on config. mgt. but
have huge problems trying to locate inf. on mgt tools relating to unix, there
is very little theory out there jus the commercial sites selling products,
if any one can help it would be much appreciated... whats the best web site
for a complete analysis of unix

Linuxconf: http://www.solucorp.qc.ca/linuxconf/
webmin: http://www.webmin.com/webmin/
They tend to be tried to a particular distribution (drakconf is for mandrake, I think linuxconf is for redhat)

I think this is CVS (or similar) used for programming projects to store different versions of a project.
