    Writing and Reading a XML Stream

    How would a person be able to write to and read from an XML stream that would
    eventually be transferred over the network? I am trying to do this but have
    not succeeded in finding any examples. All examples that I find are directed
    toward saving it as an actual file and not a stream. I have tried using
    MSXML.DOMDocument but I don't know for sure if I am on the correct path or
    not. Any suggestions??

    Thanks,
    Bryan

    You can use the loadXML method to load XML-formatted data directly from a
    Stream object into an XML DOMDocument or save a DOMDocument directly into a
    stream.

    dim xml as DOMDocument
    set xml = new DOMDocument

    you can use serialization to transfer the doc over the network stream, assuming you are going to serialize/deserialize.

    XmlSerializer serializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(SomeClass));
    serializer.Serialize(theStream, theObjectsToSerialize);
