    component registry and physical file path


    hi,

    i have a problem. how can i know whether a particular ocx component is registered
    or not. if register how can i know the physical path of the file from the
    registry entries

    Some months ago I wrote a tip of the month that I call 'Get Fully Qualified
    File Name using TypeLib Information'. Link to
    http://www.buygold.net/tips.html then look for the January 2000 tip of the
    month. A sample program is provided which uses the OCX name to retrieve the
    file/path and version information from a VBP. You should be able to use this
    code to help solve you problem.
