creating a macro

i'm trying to create a macro that will allow me to select specific data and
send it to a new .txt file. i have no training in VB, and have been learning
a lot in the past few days using excel, but this is way beyond me.

Do you want a macro that will send the data you have selected to a text file,
or one that will find data and send the data you have selected to a text
file?
